Michael Jackson plastic surgery
michael jackson plastic surgery nose job - awful plastic surgery michael jackson plastic surgery nose job - awful plastic surgery michael jackson plastic surgery nose job - awful plastic surgery
Michael Jackson was probably created as a warning for all of us – not to go too far in plastic surgery. As you can see at his early pictures the very fist rhinoplasty was very good, the second nose job was also fine, even the third nose surgery was ok, but he could not stop and the crucial moment was when he lighted his skin and started reshaping his poor chin and his African eyes which finally turned him into a total disaster.
Although after fist several plastic surgeries his nose was already small and feminine, but Michael kept destroying it, wanting more and more changes. Still there is no official document or investigation answering the question “How many nose jobs and other plastic operations has Michael Jackson had?”. In the famous documentary Michael said he had two, but plastic surgeons who studied his photos suggest may be 30...
The last news about Michael Jackson’s nose was that he finally found a plastic surgeon who agreed to repair his nose. The doctor took cartilage from the singer's ear to place inside his nose - after Jackson's face was "beginning to deteriorate" due to years of alleged extensive rhinoplasty. The nose of Michael Jackson is now fine but the plastic surgeon said it was close to collapsing following twenty years of plastic operations.

breast plastic Adrianne Curry surgery
What makes an American Next Top Model announce publicly that her left breast was 20% bigger than the right? Wouldnt it be better for a 24 years old beauty to make her breast reconstrustion secretly and remain unspoken? Not only is she sharing details of her right-left-breast-asymmetry, but she has also published online pictures in which she's happily hugging her plastic surgeon.
Dr. Frank Ryan from Beverly Hills has already worked with ANTM judge Janice Dickinson (not yet clear what surgery did Dr. Ryan performed on Janice, as she has too many) and Russell Simmons. Now he put silicone implants in both Adrianne's breasts to make them large and even.
After so many successful bikini shots Adrianne Curry realized she cant stand this "one inch wider left breast" and is ready for the surgery. Correcting asymmetric Breasts considered breast reconstruction, so Dr. Ryan bravely used silicone gel filled implants (not saline filled). Surprisingly, three days later FDA finally approved silicone.

Gene Simmons & Shannon Tweed Have a Plastic Wedding
KISS frontman Gene Simmons, who at the ripe old age of 62, has finally taken the plunge into holy bliss and married his 54 year old girlfriend Shannon Tweed, the mother of his two adult children. With 400 close family and friends looking on, Gene said I do to a cheering crowd. The ceremony took place in Los Angeles this past Saturday, October 1st. Of course a film crew was present to shoot the event for Gene’s reality TV show. Paul Stanley, Gene’s partner in KISS was in the wedding party. Stanley toasted Gene and wished him all the happiness he himself has found in his own marriage. It’s not exactly like Gene doesn’t know Shannon very well; they have been living together for 28 years. Here is a look at Gene and Shannon over the years.
The new husband and wife are no strangers to plastic surgery; each has had quite a bit. Gene and Shannon actually underwent procedures together a few of years back and then aired the procedures on his hit reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Gene had a full facelift and showed the world his bruised and heavily swollen face after the surgery. It wasn’t Gene’s first time under the knife either. Back in the 80′s when Gene got the acting bug he had a nose job to shave down his ‘ethnic’ looking appearance. It’s also widely rumored he has had a hair transplant. Does anyone think that thing on Gene’s head could be natural? I don’t think so. Shannon has been visiting the plastic surgeon for years. A former playmate, Shannon has had her boobs done, a facelift, her lips filled, and it looks like she has regularly scheduled Botox appointments. We here at CelebrityPlasticSurgery.tv wanted to wish the new bride a groom all the happiness in their plastic and Botox filled marriage.

Where are they now? Even supermodels get old like the rest of us
There's a really interesting demonstration of facial aging you can see in a "Where are they now?" slideshow in former supermodels of the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's you can see here. Here's a representative sample of a few different "vintages" which I think show some of the signs of aging that creep onto all of us as we age. The lifestyle of many models in terms of diet, sun-exposure, smoking, drug use, and depression clearly play a role in some of the exaggerated changes you might see in some of these beautiful people.
Christy Turlington, (age 43) multiple Vogue cover model of the early 1990's.You see the early loss of midface volume of the cheek and hollowed areas around the lower eyelid.
Janice Dickinson, (age 56) one of the 1st supermodels of the late 1970's early 1980's. You see a striking loss of volume of the face with sun-damage related changes to the skin. She's also had a number of well-publicized issues with substance abuse and depression which are known factors in early facial aging. Animation lines and fine wrinkles around the eyelid and mouth become more prominent.
Twiggy (age 62) the waif-like icon of mid 1960's swinging London fashion scene. Twiggy demonstrates the fact that it's hard to grow old when you're frozen in time in pop culture as the "It" girl of 1966. Her interval photos demonstrate all the changes you see from volume loss, sun damage with discoloration, and a gradual change of the heart-shaped "Ogee" curve of the youthful face and cheek to a flattened and round shape.
The women in the story are still striking, but do show some exaggerated changes of the aging face that we see in consultation in the office frequently. The single biggest things you can do to slow down facial aging are common sense steps like to avoid sun, not smoke, and maintain a steady weight and diet.

Cosmetic Surgery at age 83: 'Enhancing' the Golden Years
We all want to look our best right? So why should that be any different for senior citizens? Just ask Marie Kolstad, the 83 year old Orange County woman who recently had a breast augmentation procedure.
The great-grandmother has garnered national attention after going public with the details about her desire to look and feel younger, and her surgery has sparked a debate about cosmetic surgery and whether there may be increased potential health risks as we age.
Dr. Walden's article in Culture Map provides a well rounded look at the topic and clears up the controversy:
So if you happen to be getting older, worry not about squeezing in your last nip or tuck before your 65th Birthday. As long as you are in good health, you could still have years and years of visits to your plastic surgeon to look forward to.

This Year's Most Stressful Job: The Weather Person!
There is one thing I can say for sure about 2011 so far: Mother Nature is not a happy woman! She has been wrecking havoc all over the world and these days no one is safe from her wrath. I never thought I would be telling my kids one day that I saw a hurricane and an earthquake (AND in the same week) in New York but it's true. Records are being broken all over with temperatures, rain fall (or lack thereof), and magnitudes and directions of storms. It is a crazy world these days so we all should be watching the news and weather channels to be prepared, no matter where you live.
Dr. Walden, the true Texan woman that she is, wrote an article this week to help educate people in Texas (especially Austin) on how to handle that terrible heat safely:
http://austin.culturemap.com/newsdetail/08-28-11-20-28-goodbye-irene/
I hope for everyone's sake that Mother Nature gets a nap, or chocolate, or something to make her happier!

Victory for Common Sense: FDA drops MRI suggestion for patients with silicone implants
BREAKING NEWS: A fairly significant announcement by the USFDA was in the paper today re. silicone gel breast implants (see NYT summary here). Based on testimony and evidence presented, the FDA has finally agreed that the suggestion that patients need routine MRI screening of their implants is no longer one they support. This is bringing the United States into line with the rest of the world on being more pragmatic on the issue and reserving workup for symptomatic patients only. Recent papers in the surgery literature have been reporting that MRI has been associated with overestimation of rupture rates, particularly when applied to asymptomatic patients. The panel also concluded that no new evidence has been presented to change prior determinations that silicone implants are not causally linked to any known systemic illness.

Dr. Walden Talks To CBS News
Dr. Walden recently spoke to CBS News about the 26 year old British woman who ruptured a breast implant playing paintball. While paintball is be a very fun and exciting sport, it must be known that you can get seriously hurt while playing it (regardless of whether or not you have breast implants). The article says that the paintball was traveling at 190 miles per hour! Clearly I think people who play this sport should wear protective gear to cover any part of them they would not want hurt or damaged...real or not!
See what Dr. Walden had to say about it:

New FDA Sunscreen Information
While most of us are getting our sweaters back out and looking at fall boots, we can't forget that other parts of the country will still be wearing their bathing suits and shorts all year round. While this may seem great to us in New York (who are still traumatized from last year's winter) we can't forget that this puts them at a greater risk for sun damage and possible skin cancer. This is why the FDA recently released new information on sunscreens that everyone should be aware of. Doctor Walden's newest article explores the new information released as well as some important skin cancer awareness information:
http://austin.culturemap.com/newsdetail/08-19-11-20-26-fda-sheds-light-on-sunscreen-labeling/
Read up and educate yourself...we still have some sun time left and most of us (hopefully) have a fall/winter vacation coming up somewhere hot!

Groupon's model may be both bad business and illegle for cosmetic medical services
The use of social media services like Facebook and Twitter to promote your medical practice on the web has become common in recent years. For today's potential patients, if you don't have a web footprint then you might as well be invisible. A new wrinkle on this has been causing some concern that it might be both illegal and unethical when applied to medical services like laser hair removal, BOTOX injections, and other goods and services.
Services like Groupon offer heavily discounted goods and services to people who buy the "deal of the day" through Groupon. They then collect the money and keep a large percentage of the fee, passing the rest to the merchant. Groupon’s first daily deal in October 2008 was famously a half-price deal for a pizza restaurant located in its office building in Chicago. From that event, the service has exploded. This is now a big business, with such "deal of the day" businesses projected to exceed $6 billion in sales by 2015.
Is this good for anyone other then the principals of Groupon and the like? I don't think so. Like many of the so called "innovators" of silicone valley and the web (ie. Facebook), most ideas you see bubbling up merely seek to skim money off the top of transactions rather then creating a product of any kind of value. It's a giant long con that would seem to be creating another internet bubble for shareholders and investors in these companies.
Expect to see more signs like this from small businesses:
A blog post I found from earlier this year (see here) crystalizes the problem for Groupon noting,
"many businesses will still make the mistake of overestimating the value of the customers they are likely to get from them. The proportion of customers procured from Groupon who are likely to make a return visit/repeat purchase may be dramatically lower than average meaning that, especially when you also factor in the significant cut of the revenue that the retailers have to pay to Groupon, they could actually make a significant loss on the deal. It’s the same logic which has led many online retailers to shun voucher code sites which they see as catering only to bargain hunters as opposed to potentially loyal customers."
You're hearing more and more horror stories from merchants who are not realizing how insane participating with such budiness models is, particularly at the levels of revenue Groupon is skimming from them. In aesthetic medicine, we see more and more of such deals from Botox and laser treatments for hair removal, skin tightening, and body contouring. I see these offers and am boggled at what these clinics and spas are thinking. You cannot stay in business offering services for less then cost, and it is clear that patients who shop through Groupon will always be price shoppers rather then repeat clients. I recently saw a dermatologist lose almost $5000 on a special they did on one of these services not realizing how much they were actually promising to deliver after their cost of the Botox (which is almost $600/bottle).
A new wrinkle (no pun intended) has been the examination of such a relationship in the context of restrictions of what's known as "fee splitting". These types oflaws prohibit the offer, solicitation, payment or receipt of anything of value, direct or indirect, overt or covert, in cash or in kind, intended to induce referral of patient for items or services reimbursed. The language of such laws vary by state, but the spirit of most of them would seem to be at odds with the Groupon model. A number of experts are concluding that such programs, by virtue of their "per unit" fee model, violates such federal rules and many states medical board rules (see here and here) and are advising providers to tread carefully.
So, in summary we have an illogical business model that may or may not be legal for medical goods and services. What's not to like?

Lindsey Pulls a Pippa!!
Lindsey Lohan pulled the ultimate Pippa Middleton and stole the show at Kim K's wedding this past weekend. Not only did she wear the same gown that Pippa wore on the evening of Kate's wedding, Lilo also turned lots of heads with her looks - only in this case the attention wasn't all good. In addition to rocking more cleavage than a Jersey Shore cast member, Lindsey also overdid it with the botox and lip injections.

Vienna Girardi and Mr. Potato Head
Remember those little plastic potato heads with the big, removable noses that you played with as a kid? Well reality star Vienna Girardi, who recently underwent rhinoplasty, thinks that that is what her nose looked like before her surgery. And while a new nose might not be as easy as popping out one piece of plastic and plugging in another, at least she had the option of rhinoplasty.
One of the top cosmetic surgeries performed these days is the rhinoplasty, as Dr. Walden recently discussed in SHAPE. Many celebs (and pseudo-celebs) undergo this procedure in order to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing look. I was looking at Vienna's before pictures in US Weekly (see below), and reading her comments regarding the shape of her nose, and this got me thinking about different types of noses.
While we often see celebrities who have fairly attractive features to begin with and who have minimal changes made in order to improve their appearances, there are some who have less attractive features to begin with. In Vienna's case, she had a hooked nose, often called a 'bird nose' or 'hawk nose', which reminds me of the shape of Paris Hilton's nose.
This type of nose can be drastically improved with a rhinoplasty procedure, and in Vienna's case I do think the improvement can be considered drastic, especially if you look at the profile shot. Lucky for Vienna, even though she acted like a witch on The Bachelor, she doesn't have to look like one.

J-Whoa!!
The new season of The Jersey Shore begins tomorrow night and the fact that they're in Italy is not the only big change. Jenni Farley, known as J-Wow, looks completely different than she did before. Let's be honest, in the first season she was a little rough around the edges with the blue or blond hair clips and the almost non-existent outfits (well that really didn't change that much). However, after that she cleaned up her look a little and lost some weight and she really did look pretty. This not the case anymore.
At the reunion special that aired this week, J-Wow was seen looking really fake (and not just her breasts). It seems as though she went overboard with fillers in her face. She could barely talk; I had to rewind and pause a few times just to watch her try. Her face looks so unnatural and it really is such a shame she had to over-do it. I guess that's how she does everything...the implants, the outfits, the make-up! Here's the pictures to show how she's changed over the seasons:

Rumer Has It...
Rumor has it that Rumer Willis has gotten breast implants. Lets take a look. Below is a picture of Willis from 2009, followed by a photo of the 22 year old that was taken several weeks ago.
Before:
Because of the difference in size, an obvious increase of at least two cup sizes, I believe that it is likely that Rumer has undergone breast augmentation. I think that the results are great - natural looking and a perfect size for her frame. Her breasts not only look fuller, but also lifted, in comparison with the first picture where her breasts show signs of ptosis, or sagging. Many speculate that Rumer's mom Demi must have one of the greatest plastic surgeons on speed dial because of the way she seems to age in reverse - constantly looking younger in a natural way. So it comes as no surprise that Rumer would have equally excellent and natural results. Kudos to her doctor for a job well done!

Momager Kris Jenner gets Facelift for Kim's Big Day!
They're calling it the wedding of the century. No, I'm not talking about Will and Kate. The 'they' I am referring to is the first family of reality TV: the Kardashians - and 'they' are referring to Kim's upcoming wedding to Kris Humphries as just that. So it should come as no surprise that Momager Kris Jenner would want to look her best for her daughter's HUGE day. (Side note: I can't wait to see this wedding and of course the dress).
Kris Jenner, who clearly takes great care of her skin, has recently admitted to undergoing a mini face lift. Her surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, says the name of the procedure is the 'Format Face Pinnacle Lift' and that it 'is a natural face rejuvenation procedure designed to freshen up and open the eyes, elevate the cheeks, and provide youthful contours to the jawline and neck'. Just like everything else that the Kardashians do, the procedure was recorded and video can be viewed on the E! website. Check out the before and after photos:
Before:
After:
I think it is great that Kris owns the fact that she has had a little nip/tuck, which is more than can be said for most celebs. Love em or hate em, you have to admit those Kardashians have got genetics on their sides when it comes to their looks. Mama Kris looks pretty fantastic for 55 years old and 6 kids, and a mini face lift is a perfect way for her to feel extra glam on her daughter's big day.

The 'Magic' of Plastic Surgery
The final Harry Potter movie premiered this week, but it's not the actors who have had work done. Before author J.K. Rowling became a billionaire, she was living on welfare and the stress of life took a toll on her appearance. She had huge bags under her eyes which made her appear tired and much older than she really was. Luckily for Rowling, magic isn't limited to the pages of her novels - plastic surgery can make us look younger, even as we age! Just look at the difference in Rowling's before and after photos:
Rowling appears to have undergone eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), giving her eyes a wider look which helps her to look younger and less tired. She has likely also had dermal filler injections to help smooth out wrinkles in the eye area, as well as Botox, Juvederm, or Restylane injections on her forehead, around her eyes, and laugh lines around her mouth. Additionally, she has probably had her nose reshaped. Previously, her nose appeared wider and slightly crooked, while now it is better proportioned to her face. The Harry Potter author is an excellent example of the magic of a well done plastic surgery job.
